3 Understanding Jesus: The Passover Lamb & the Scapegoat

This is sermon #3 in the series.

Familiarity with the Old Testament - the people, the sacrificial system, the law, the feasts, the prophecies, etc. - is vital to understand both the New Testament in general and Jesus in particular. This sermon will help us understand Paul's declaration "for our Passover lamb has been sacrificed" (1 Cor. 5:17) and John the Baptist's cry "behold the Lamb of God" (Jn. 1:29). You have to look all the way back to Exodus and Leviticus to understand the rich meaning and background of this titles given to Jesus.

This sermon will encourage us to respond in two practical ways and to embrace the Moravian Church's slogan, "our Lamb has conquered, let us follow him."
