Acts 9:1-19a
7 Ananias

There are three men in the New Testament with the name Ananias. The Ananias in today's sermon has been called "a forgotten hero of Christianity." He is mentioned only in Acts 9. In a vision God speaks to him to do something dangerous, to go and pray for Saul of Tarsus who traveled to Damascus authorized to arrest Christians and take them back to Jerusalem. The goal was to try them and put them in jail for believing and preaching heresy (Jesus as Messiah). On his journey Jesus appears to him and his life is radically changed. But Ananias doesn't know what's happened to Saul, so he doesn't want to go. But he makes a bid difference by overcoming fear and obeying God... the rest is history.

This sermon will offer four ways to overcome your fears so you can make a bid difference as you respond in obedience to God's leading. Taking such steps could have a great impact in one person's life which you may only discover in eternity.
