2 Timothy 3:1 and Mark 13:7-8
5. Relax, The Worst is Yet to Come

This is the fifth sermon in the Realty Check series and it’s based on 2 Timothy 3:1 and Mark 13:7-8 (but it would be good to read the whole chapter).

Just like an airline captain warning the passengers that they will be going through turbulence for a few minutes, God also warns us about the last days.  Scriptures teaches us that the we’ve been living in the last day for the last 2,000 years. The good news? Things will get better eventually… but first, it will get worse. In some ways this COVID-19 pandemic is only a foreshadow of what is to come. In the midst of terrible times, we look forward to the day of the Lord, to his return, and eternity with him.

Let’s remember this: The mission in the midst of the difficult times [and persecution for many of our Christian brothers and sisters around the world] in the last days remains the same – proclaiming the good news that Jesus Saves!
