James 4:13-17
3. What Lessons Have We Learned?

This is third semon in the Reality Check series.

Socrates once said "the unexamined life is not worth living." We human beings are not always the best at learning from experience, at examining what we can learn even from difficult times, like this current COVID-19 pandemic.

The book of James was written to people that were living through suffering, including persecution. It was the time of the early church (25-30 years after it had started) and James wanted to encourage them that faith/salvation always manifests itself in good works and faith also helps overcome persecution, suffering, prejudice, etc. This sermon will point to four lessons we can learn from James 4:13-17 and offer four practical ways to respond.
