Immanuel: come and deliver us

2020 Advent Sermon Series

This year, perhaps more than ever, we will gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the significance of Advent and Christmas. The name Immanuel was given to Jesus by the prophet Isaiah over 700 years before his birth. It means God with us. Oh, how desperately we need this reassurance in this COVID-19 stained Advent season.

Here are the sermon titles:

  • Sunday, November 29: Come and deliver us from fear
  • Sunday, December 6: Come and deliver us from turmoil
  • Sunday, December 13: Come and deliver us from Hopelessness
  • Sunday, December 20: Come and deliver us to yourself
