Nehemiah 1:5-11
3 God With Us in Exile

In this series certain words are used as metaphors, this week the "exile" is used as a metaphor for the time, place, or process Christians can find themselves in because of disobedience or sin, which can be the things we do (sins of commission) or the things we left undone (sins of omission).

This sermon mentions four effects of sin or disobedience in the lives of Christians and then points out four truths from Nehemiah 1:5-11 that help us understand why we tend to end up in 'exile' and how to return to God. In the conclusion you will be reminded of three action steps that will help us return from 'exile' to God.
